Orofacial Myology is therapy for the orofacial musculature to improve muscle tonicity and activity through exercises that establish correct function of the muscles of the tongue, lips, jaw and breathing mechanism so that growth and development might progress in a normal, stable, homeostatic environment. Orofacial Myology benefits both children and adults.

Learning Objectives:​

Identify relevant dysfunctional habits…both oral and physical
Understand the benefits obtained by correcting dysfunctional habits prior to and during dental and orthodontic treatment
Before and After photos of Orofacial Myology CHANGES and outcomes
Demonstration of how to determine tongue and lip tie need for revision

Sandra R. Coulson

Sandra is a caring therapist, teacher, innovator, entrepreneur and international speaker. She opened her private practice in Denver, Coulson and Associates, in 1969 and has been practicing as a Certified Orofacial Myologist since then. Sandra is a Colorado native and lifelong Colorado lover. Sandra graduated from University of Northern Colorado with degrees in Speech Therapy and Education, and a Masters Degree in Health Sciences.
